How to use the Manual Upload - Save Tariff Format screen
When uploading rates into AFRA, you will often encounter rate sheets that have columns organized in the same order. AFRA allows you to save column mappings so that they can be reused and applied to future spreadsheets. There are two ways that mappings can be saved. One way is to create a Rate Template that will save column mappings that are always in the same order. The other way is to set up Auto Detection. Auto Detection allows you to define a rate sheet's rows and columns so that you can bypass the column mapping process entirely. Auto Detection is primarily used to upload e-rate sheets.
If you do not wish to save the column mappings, click Skip.
How to create rate templates
To save the mapping, enter a unique name for the rate template in the Format Name field. Make sure the name is descriptive of what is being mapped so that it will be easy to select the correct template when applying it to spreadsheets in the future. Click Save to keep the template.
Setting up a file for Auto Detection
Auto detection may be used for larger, more complicated spreadsheets that don't start at the beginning of the spreadsheet or contain multiple rows of non-rate information, such as e-rate sheets.
To use auto detection, fill in the applicable auto-detect information so that when a spreadsheet is being uploaded during the Manual Upload process, AFRA will detect where to begin reading the rate information when the rate template is applied. This information can be defined by file name or by a specific cell location using numeric values for the columns and rows.
To prevent rows from being read into AFRA as rate lines, enter the number of rows to be skipped at the beginning of the file and at the end of the file, if applicable.
Click Save to continue.
